Let's hear those summer camping stories, family trips, and of course stories of beating the crap out of your Busse's!!! Now if you have an embarrassing story I encourage you to definitely tell us about that!!You see, I have this problem of laughing at people when they hurt themselves doing something stupid. Just ask Jerry!!! LOL!!
If you have pics add those in the story too!

Sorry if this seems lame but I'm trying to spice things up a bit! I could just run down the street naked and have Jerry take pics but I thought you guys would think this would be more interesting!! LOL!! I'm only kidding!!! LOL!! It's friday so I'm feeling goofy!!

Let's hear those stories!!

What do I want to accomplish by the end of summer......to have Kassi move out here with me and be married the next day, but dreams that good rarely ever come true, I could only be so lucky :)

I drove from MN to Dillon, MT with a friend on July 2-3 to visit friends. On the 4th we took off in a '76 Concord mobile home, drove up to East Glaicer, played a round of golf and watched the fireworks in Whitefish, MT. The next day we drove around the southern end of Glaicer - the Road to the Sun was still snowed in - and then went south to Great Falls. On Sunday we returned to Dillon.
We headed back home on Tuesday afternoon and during the drive my low beams shorted out. I had to buy a roll of "the handyman's secret weapon" and cover the top 3/4 of my headlights so that I could drive through the night with my brights on and not tick off all the oncoming traffic.
All told, we logged nearly 3,000 miles and I never got a chance to pull out even one of the Busses that I had brought.

This weekend I'll be wiring in a replacement connector to fix my headlight problem.

I am working hard on my diploma thesis, so no planning for this summer. Still I hope to handle my DAB before the summer is over. They will be shipping next week, I guess. :D

About the only thing I did this summer, or probably will do, is work. Work at work, work in the yard, work on the cabin.

I did spend a week visitng my brother in Cincinatti. Went to King's Island (if anyone falls off the Tomb Raider ride and finds a Microtech UMS on the floor.....it is mine), Newburg aquarium, Red's game. Nice getaway but it didn't last long enough. I even missed Mardi Gras this year. Shame.

On Febuary 12th, I touched down in Kuwait. Spent the next month and 8 days sitting in a sandbox, making sandcastles...

On March 21th, decided to explore other places and crossed the border into Iraq. Got shot at. Got mortared. Drove around in some HMMWVs. Did some odd jobs here and there. Decided to see how far north we could go and finally found ourselves in An Nas. Spent almost a full month there and then left on April 28th. Flew in a helicopter. Arrived on a boat. Finally got off the boat (sorry- "ship") on July 12th. Saw my wife!! Had a good time with the wife!! July 13th is my birthday. Had a good birthday back in the USA!! Had a good time with my wife on my birthday!!

That...that's about it...
:D

Over the course of the summer I've been getting slowly more and more sedentary. I guess it's just because I've been waiting for my BM-E . . . :D

Help this poor fiend stay physically active! Ship him INFI! :)

Now I know you are crazy! How in the hell could this thread be more interesting than that!?!?!?!?;):D

Well as to "Blah Blah Blah... I could just run down the street naked and have Jerry take pics... Blah Blah Blah"

Before Summer is over I would love to... look at pictures that Jerry took of a great looking, fun loving, young lady running down the street naked!

(Heck until this thread I didn't even know I had this as an option!)

No funny summertime stories here, it’s middle of winter.
But I can tell you a funny one anyway. We were travelling back from the bush early last week with a truck load of rock. The two young blokes riding with were awake for once. (They normally are asleep as soon as we hit the road, with inbuilt computers to wake up when we get near the pie shop in a small town on the way).

Anyway, there was a small car out in front of us that appeared to have a bloke and his girl friend or wife in it.
All of a sudden the female in the car leaned over and appeared to kiss the fella on the side of the face. With that he gave a mighty push and the girl was shoved over to the passenger side of the vehicle, hitting the window.

One of the young fellas said, did you see that!!

Try and catch up so we can see what’s going on. Not an easy feat with a loaded truck. Anyway after about twenty miles and another three repeat performances from the girl in the car, it finally slowed down for a rail crossing. Putting caution to the wind we sped up behind the car to get a better look.

The girlfriend turned out to be a big curly black haired dog.:D :D

Rodeo Rodeo Rodeo Thats all ive been doing lately is riding bulls.Ive got to get out to the sticks and do some camping.

Well from the begining of June I worked.......22 of June got my posterior operated on....spent 2 weeks om my stomach....went back to work....worked 12 hours/7 days.....will keep this up till Aug 22 when I go on vacation....Aug 31 our contract runs out....might be striking come Sept...OH What a fun summer!!!!! :D LOL......

My parrot doesn't say anything. He's... resting. :p

Sounds like crowinghorse has the most exciting summer so far.

We're doing our annual road-trip in September after Labor Day, so technically, I won't be doing anything really "cool" this summer.

Wifey and I have, though, shot 50-60 rolls of film of all sorts of weird/cool stuff since winter broke. Thank God I finally picked up a decent digicam.

Yep, and they were great. Montgomery Inn built a restaurant on the north side of Indianapolis once and rumor has it they cooked the ribs in Cincinatti and shipped them up here. Before they were served they just pulled them out of the freezer and heated them up. In either case, anyone who had ever been to the Cincinatti restaurant immediately knew they weren't real Montgomery Inn ribs.

The building now houses something else.
