I've missed a lot of movies in the theater over the past year. I'd like to see a few summer blockbusters, but it looks like a pretty dry summer this year. Jonah Hex looks way too corny for me to waste my hard earned money (yeah, I'll still see it). Predators looks like it should be entertaining, I'm still undecided about this one. It could be AVP2 bad, AVP bad or just Predator 2 bad. I don't think it could top Ahnuld's treatment, but it may turn out to be good. The A-Team looks really bad, but could be fun. Inception looks like it could go either way, Christopher Nolan did a great job with the Batman relaunch, but he was also able to make the Prestige a good movie too. I really have no idea about the Expendables. Machete will almost certainly be bad, but I will still probably see it. Same for Resident Evil Afterlife.

This summer, my hard earned dollars look like they might stay in my wallet when it comes to the movie theater.

Anything coming out this summer on your must see in the theater list?

I don't go to the theater usually. It has to be something that the wife really wants to see before I'll go.

That said, I will be seeing Red Dawn in the theater. It was filmed here in Detroit and a friend of mine was an extra in it. He plays a Chinese soldier. Which is odd because he is a Korean named Mario .

My wife is a fan of the Harry Potter series. The last of the films is a two part like the Kill Bill series. One in the summer and the finale released in the fall. She'll probably drag me along unless her sister will go with her. I'm praying already. They're not bad and some of the special effects are cool but I can wait for DVD.

I saw Splice last weekend. It was messed up. Not real bloody. Not a lot of jump out of your seat moments. But more than a few squirm in your seat moments. It was effed up like an old David Cronenberg movie.

Prince of Persia was better than I thought it would be. I didn't have real high hopes but it was a decent action flick.

I'll go see The Last Airbender when it comes out.
