After attending a small family reunion on the longest day of the year, I was able to get out on the trail just before the sun went down.

The route I chose lead me to a rocky out cropping that overlooked several bodies of water.

These photos where taken between 7:30 and 8:00 PM.

After many days of rain and overcast skies, seeing some sunshine and a few patches of blue made for a very special Summer Solstice.

Beautiful country up there, Big Mike. It was 100F here with high humidity. I didn't go out at all! :o

Wow, small world, I was born in Brunswick. Talked to my grandparents there last night and they were doing the same thing as you, trying not to die from the heat.

I second the beautiful pictures! Wish I was out there rather than behind a desk.
