Summer weather

We have had a cold summer here in Northwestern Ontario. Normally the airconditioners are roaring away, and barely keep up in July, but this year its been woodstoves and furnaces. Summer started dry and warm with some bad fires. We were thankful for the needed rain in June, but then it turned cold and has not warmed up.

This weekend, the weather folks called for scorching heat coming in from the plains. I planned for some beach activities, but had to call it off due to the cold- barely 20C or 68F. Put the fire on in the furnace again this morning, like WTF happened to summer?

Anyways instead of the beach I did more yard work as the lawn is lush and growing fast. Put up a new sattelite dish, and now I can get the other channels. Now I will sharpen the chainsaw, and have it ready to go for the next trip to camp, along with a new water pump to replace the one that packed up last week.

So hows your summer been in your area?

Daggum Bufford, send us some of that cold weather, it has been horrible hot down here for a couple months now and I don't expect it to get any better till late October, sheesh! This has been the hottest year we have had that I can remember.

L6 I will send you the entire month of July including two frosts, and the frost we had friday, if you could send us even 2 nice hot days for the weekend we could use alot more warmth.

The airconditioner will come out of the window next weekend if it doesn't warm up. Used it for only 4 days out of the whole season so far.

Well its been mostly above 106 and no ac unit just a evaporative cooler. SO ITS BEEN WAY TO HOT. But you never get used to the heat, but you do get used to the fact that it will be hot.

I'll trade you the cold weather for our rain. It's been raining a lot here in Texas. Over 30 inches this year.

Temperatures have been above average, hasn't rained in my county in about a month, (although it may today) haven't mowed grass in over a month. Overall, not too terrible, but I prefer very cool weather, fall, winter, early spring etc. Hope things get better for everyone. -Matt-

It's been nice around Portland this summer. 80 degrees F. and not very humid.

Unfortunately, I've been traveling in Wyoming a lot this summer. I've been here all week and I'm typing this post from my hotel room in Wheatland, Wyoming. It was 106 degrees F. today. I was in Gillette, Wyoming all this past week and it was close to or over 100 all week. Three weeks ago I was here and it was over a 100 then. Wyoming sucks when it's hot!

You're complaining about 100+ degree weather? I have lived in Texas my whole life and we get that every summer. You would hate living here with all this heat. Right now its a break from the heat with all the rain we are getting but a lot of people, including myself, are getting tired of all this rain. Medina Lake has come up 35+ feet in 2 months time. It's almost completely full and we just had some flooding over the weekend while I was in Round Rock at the knife show. I'll trade you your Portland weather for our rainy weather any day.
