Finished up this Sumo Kwaiken with a nice patina. A great blade for EDC

-8670 Carbon steel .203" at the spine
- 4" blade
-8" OAL
- Rounded Spine
- Flat ground
- Skull smasher
- 61 Rockwell
- Patina
- Turkshead knot with black wrap impregnated with High impact resin

Using a new resin for impregnating the wraps. This is a high impact, marine grade, food safe resin and it really is tough stuff.

Thanks for looking

Nice little EDC Adam and your right that resin is Tough! You could probably just dip a knife handle in that stuff and let it dry and be good to go. That same style in a tanto blade would also make a nice edc knife as well I suppose.

Thanks guys the patina is done in 3 layers. The resin is amazing, gone are the days of brittle resin.
I am going to make some ivory paper micarta with it.
