This Sumo Kwaiken in .201" 8670 Carbon has a 4" patina blade and it 8" OAL with a 60rc.
The blade is flat ground as is the swedge, the handle is 3 strand tight bound cotton cord with a green ito cord. Impregnated with a high impact, marine grade food safe resin. Tough stuff making for a natural looking cord but hard as micarta.
Exposed butt for smashing and rounded for palm thrust. On a no guard blade the palm thrust is what is used , if there is a point on the butt end you are going to stab yourself
