Just having some fun and tryin' new stuff.
I have always had an interest in being able to create as many varied types of knives and styles as I can.
This has yet to get the marine epoxy finish, but the day is almost done and I had some time.
The blade was forged down from 1" thick 5160 stock, done in the "Brut de Forge" method and cord wrapped over Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.
Will get a cross draw sheath with a groovy little concho.
It'll be on my table at the Ohio Classic in 2 weeks.
Now, don't make fun of me.

I like that a lot Karl.

As much as I like your other knives, this one doesn't do it for me.

Nothing wrong with trying something new now en then!

Kind regards,

Jos

Karl , It looks good and even more it looks functional. I think your making a good move by making it cross draw. so in sumation, ME LIKES IT! Paul

i love it when makers go outside the box....very cool karl....hope to see more in the future....ryan:thumbup:

Hey Karl, that looks like a great design. I love the idea of the forged guard, and would love to handle this one to see how it feels. I hope you keep playing with this design, I think you might be on to something :)

Slap on a wood handle and I would vote for it. :D

Working outside the box is good. I'll bet you don't come home from Ohio with it.

Different in a very good way.
Good to see you branching out.
The handle treatment adds tremendous to this piece IMO.
See you at the show.

Variety is the spice of life as they say...
Nice work. I like it....

A true horror of multiculturalism! it peels the varnish off of my mac-n-cheese.

And Not a take down, Karl? ;) What are we doing here..

And the accolades coming in throngs, some people will pander to anything.

Seriously, ..what is it?
:)
David
I don't know for sure, but it's got three brothers now!
