Sun Goggles?

I'm looking for an alternative to sunglasses for a couple of reasons; Here in the desert, even wrap arounds don't keep the sand out of your eyes, and I inexplicably manage to lose every pair of sunglasses I ever buy. I even bought one or two of those sports straps to attach to the frame, to no avail.

Now, I'm not sure that what I have in my mind's eye exists, but I figured if anyone would know, one of you guys would. Basically, I want polarized UV protection lenses in a swim/tanning/welder's goggle format. I know they have motorcycle goggles, and ski/snowboard goggles, but those are way too bulky. For those of you that have seen the movie Pitch Black, that's kind of what I'm looking for, only not so dark, as I believe the character's were actual welding goggles.

So, any suggestions would be appreciated. If not, one of you enterprising fellows with capital should get on the ball and create these. :D

Yeah, something along those lines is kind of what I had in my head. The only problem with those is Amazon doesn't say whether they're polarized or not that I can see, nor do they list product dimensions other than the 1" strap. Hmmm.

I'd post another option, but if you search amazon (or another site) for polarized goggles, there seem to be a lot of results that may be good.

Thanks, at least now I know something similar exists. I'll just have to do some digging and see what I can find I reckon.

I've been looking for something like that for a LONG time-lots of people use them around here for mountain biking, cross country and downhill skiing, offroad motor sports etc. Every time I do a search for sun goggles all that comes up are the big combat or snowboarding style....

Yeah, that's mostly what I'm getting in my search too. I guess my Google-fu is just weak. Oh well, the search continues, if I find something and pull the trigger I'll be sure to post my thoughts.

I've got some Wiley X's and they'll do you fine.

Also have the option of earpiece style or headband.

How about a pair of Kroops goggles (link). They are made for skydiving, horse racing, and bycycling. The come clear and tinted, with and without vent holes (a few different patterns), in multiple colors, and they have designs made to be worn over glasses (if that's what you need)... and they're relatively cheap (typically less than $10 per pair)...

yup... you can get swimmer's googles with UV and polarized tints. I used to have a pair, but they aren't too great for indoor pools, which is where i primarily swam. speedo makes them, as does many goggle brands.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many options when it came to these. I really appreciate all the help with links and suggestions. Now I just need to settle on a pair that aren't too bulky and won't break the bank.
