I'm going to be in Cape Coral on Sunday and there is a Suncoast Gun Show at the Fort Myers Lee Civic Center. Yeah, vacation for me.

Has anyone ever gone to this show? I know its a gun show, but hopefully, there would be some knives, etc.

Thanks for any input at all.

Been to their shows in Miami. Lots of guns, some knives. There are usualy some dealers of junk, some dealers selling quality production knives, and some knifemakers selling their own blades. You can get pretty good deals if you go on Sunday afternoon, and put cash on the table.

I have been to the Suncoast Gun Show in Clearwater and Tampa. Lots of junk knives for sale. A few -- maybe 3-4 -- dealers with good quality knives. A gun show is rarely a waste of time for me! ;)

I have been to the Fort Myers show several times, its good if your looking for guns, but not so good for knives. Most of the dealers are selling flee-market junk knives.

Been there & had a table.People come & mostly look for long guns! Knives?? I DO NOT sell crap!! People come by, handle, then make statements like,$290 for a knife!! I can get a Buck for $20!! One that got me was a guy who wanted a Kukri,I had one for sale,he handled mine & talked for 40 minues, went an bought a Pakistani Kuk,handed it to me & said,Got this for $10,what do you think!! I will pass on Ft Myers, unless I want a rifle!

What did you tell him, Jim? I think I would have just laughed uncontrollably and been unable to say a word....

Seriously, though, doesn't that kind of stuff happen at every show? As long as there are a few serious knife knuts in the crowd of twerps, you make some sales....

well, it doesn't sound too promising, but I'll still probably go. Since I'm not really looking for anything in particular, I can just browse around.

if I can get together enough cash I might be there myself. its just a quick 2 hours east on SR80 for me. I'm kinda a compulsive purchaser though, might not be such a good idea.

Well, I went to the Fort Myers Suncoast Gun Show on my vacation. Picked up a Spyderfly and a Delica and didn't think I got a bad deal.

There was quite a few knives there, lots of fantasy junk, but a surprising amount of decent stuff. There was even a small selection of Randalls in the 500-700 range  I was surprised by the number of automotics, I guess they are legal in Fla.

There were a lot of "tactical" rifles and a huge amount of Glocks and other polymer automotics. All in all, it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
