What’s in y’all’s pockets this Sunday?

Whether it be practical or impractical, guns or knives, pocket candy or workhorse, show it off here and let us know why you’re carrying it!

Today I have my Kizer Sovereign, and my just-received A. Purvis Progeny V2, which I purchased exactly one week ago here on the exchange.

More and more often I find myself carrying one knife as “pocket candy”, which may get used to open boxes and such, and then one knife as my “user” and “I’ll hand this to a friend” knife.

Take a guess which one is which. 😉

I don’t have a pic of it all but it’s my standard carry for recently:

right front pocket - keys, Hawk DeadLock
right front coin pocket - beard comb, Knipex cobra mini channel locks, RovyVon aurora mini flashlight
right carpenter pocket - SureFire Stilletto flashlight, cell phone
right back pocket - MicroTech Stitch
left front pocket - cash, minimalist wallet, BawidaMann Blades Northman
left carpenter pocket - SureFire Intellibeam flashlight
left flank in pouch - Leatherman Charge tti and Cross pen

Earl Gray tea with a vc edge interface and phone, so I can browse BF.

I typically rest and recover on Sundays (though this week I admittedly didn't do much to recover from). I got up, made my coffee (amongst other things) , listened to some music (first spiritual and then secular), and pretty much took it easy. Playlist included Johnny Cash, Hank Sr., Curtis Mayfield, Sam Cooke, Tom Waits, Blaze Foley, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Miles & Monk; eventually drifting into some Chopin as I felt compelled to read a bit (first spiritual and then secular). Carry was the Salt Delica for any cutting tasks that might arise, a Victorinox Bantam with a scale swap from one with a forest mushroom scene (fitting ;) ) which if the day goes right will be used solely for the bottle opener, and a Case Teardrop simply because it is a favorite of mine to fiddle with while sitting on the back porch (an inevitability at some point on a day like today).

The Gameboy is for Tetris, and the little Nerf Jolt is because you never know when a foam war is going to jump off around here (though as my adversaries have become teens, early morning battles have become less likely, and all remained quiet on that front).

Then a swap to go grab a bite. A delightful café, in a record shop, where the music always seems to suit my mood, and the plates are quite delicious and named after musicians. I always get the James Browns, a plate of hash-browns with onions, peppers, tomatoes, spinach, and choice of meat mixed in (I always go with chorizo). Topping it off with a side of sausage gravy brings it to perfection. I typically fast until noon and don't eat a traditional breakfast, but I always make an exception for this place, especially on Sundays. Carry was my Sebenza (just because I like carrying it), a Case Muskrat (because it makes me happy), an SE Dragonfly in case the need for serrations comes up (it didn't), and a Victorinox Compact (I use the pen in it to sign the check). Watch was a first gen Omega Planet Ocean on a Freestyle Shark Leash strap from the old 80's digital surf watches.

Then, back home, and back to the previous carry, as well as the aforementioned back porch.

My pajamas don't have poockets..pockets...
But It's not necessary to have a knife; when you're watching NASCAR, and having a barley-pop...

Not necessary for sure… but how many of us are playing with some folder anyways?
