I had a hankering for some pork today, so I smoked a Butt. I smoked this baby on the Webber with hickory for about 3 hours. This smoked Butt turned out marvelous, nice and juicy. The outside looks burned, but some folks like the "bark". Accompanied with coleslaw, homemade South Carolina style BBQ sauce and of course a glass of kickin chicken and Coke.

You can't get any better than this.

Did I mention that I hate you:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

I'm one of those people that love the 'bark'. Smoked pork is the best:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Right now I'm on a fast to try to relieve a really bad stomach, can't eat ANYTHING without getting sicker than a dog:(

When I get to feeling better, it's off to the local smokin shop for brisket.

Thanks for reminding me of what I'm missing.

What time is next Sunday's dinner? I'll bring the beer!

Looks good from here! Now, was that the SC upstate tomato based BBQ sauce, the Midlands mustard based BBQ sauce or the low country vinegar and red pepper based BBQ sauce?! South Carolina is just a rainbow of different BBQ sauce styles. Enjoy!

That would be the low country vinegar style BBQ sauce with black pepper, ground mustard, cayenne pepper and a bit of Worcestershire. Actually it is equal parts cider vinegar and ketchup with all of the other stuff mixed in.

North Carolina BBQ is pretty good, too.

Last three years now, we stop at Lexington Barbecue in Lexington, NC for lunch on the way home from vacation. Be sure to ask for "coarse chop with brown" :thumbup::thumbup:
