That looks like it would make a great camp knife. Heavy enough for kindling and chopping chores, light enough for food prep work.

Are all the Sharks sleeping??

Wow  that kicks@ss!

AK Bowie meets... well, I don't know what, but the child is purty. Full Moon Bowie?

Full moon tonight for its debut.

Oh man. Thats just the perfect blade for a knife I'm planning to put together for a friend of mine. Dang. I really would like to order that thing.... but thats just too much for me to shell out right now. Somebody better grab that thing soon before I suffer a moment of weakness....

That knife is awesome! I hope we see some more of those when I can actually afford to buy one!:D

Gorgeous! Almost looks like the evolutionary progression of bowie into khuk. Honestly, that is almost what an AK bowie SHOULD be in my opinion. The Munk Chunk was a little too heavy for my tastes. The standard AK bowie was a bit too handle heavy for optimal chopping....This. This is a work of art. With a wood handle no less! How often do THOSE show up?

I can't do it. I simply can't. Wind shield, Valentine's Day, my wife's birthday, etc. The stars are aligned but the wallet is tapped.

I hope to see more of these in the future. Looks like a real winner for a lucky shark. How come all the good stuff comes up when I'm flat broke?:(...to remind me what I need to work towards;)

Jake- except for the windshield part- I could have typed that! How close is your wife's birthday to Valentine's Day? Kathy's is the 23rd. A one-two punch with a mere nine day break. Not even a full pay period for me.:o;)

Brenna's is on the 18th and mine is on the 24th:eek:

Oh my! One-two-THREE! And in a ten-day span! Well, you could get the Mystery Bowie for your birthday. ;)

Happy early Birthday to both of you anyway. :D

Thanks, Mac:D

My wife actually replaced my very broken video game TV with a new HD as an early present. I can't complain too much if i miss out on this knife;)

No way! That thing is still here? I'm gonna figure something out.....

OK... I weasled & shuffled & figured & finagled & came up with a way to pay for the thing.

Sometimes I'm not too bright.... but at least I have many khuks!

Well, good. I had already told myself that if it was still there today, I would buy it.

That is a cool piece, I hope more are made.

Thank you, lucky shark, who saved me from myself:D Do you guys have any idea what they are charging for flowers and "gourmet" chocolate? What a racket:grumpy:

Thank you for the kind words, my brethren. I am a weak man that easily gives in to temptation. That said... I think this may be a winner of a blade. I love the AK Bowie & this looks like the same with a re-curve style to it. I'll let you know how it feels when I get it.

So far I've snagged the first HI Bamboo Cutter, the first HI Cleaver & now the first Mystery Knife. I am either blessed or pathetically impulsive....

Wow! Just received the Mystery Bowie & am totally impressed. This is one great blade! Haven't even used it yet buts its already one of my favs. It just feels great. Seriously folks... this is a winner. Heckuva bowie. A real East meets West treasure - best of both worlds.

I was going to rehandle it & give it as a gift to a bud of mine. Now that I've touched it - no way! I'll fix up a sirupati for him - this one is mine! Maybe after I rehandle it I'll set up some kinda forum passaround. You really have to feel this thing to appreciate it.

Don't know about the origin of the Mystery Bowie... is it some kind of experiment out on a test run? Whatever its origin, HI has stumbled upon a real winner. Blade 1/2 inch thick with full tapered tang, sharper by far out of the box than any HI blade I've owned.

I'll take some pics this weekend. If this is the only one around, we should petition Yangdu to have Mystery Kami forge up some more. Lots more....
