I didn't get to camp this weekend as planned, but my son and I fished last night and I took the family on a hike this AM. Made the kids a pancake breakfast and threw them in the car and drove a couple of miles down the road. I even got my wife to go, she normally declines,"Hiking is like bringing coals to Newcastle, we live in the woods" she says in her British accent. But we had a great time, we saw the usual assortment of animals and birds, and a bunch of turtles..

You've always got the most original gear Mneedham - the wood handled folder is really cool looking! Looks like a great day out.

Allthough I am sitting at work now; Tonight my wife ,daughter, and I will be heading to your neck of the woods for some R&R till Tuesday!

They are knives from my childhood... Imperial Wildcat Skinner AKA Pro Hunter. I have a couple of them, light, with broad, thin blades and big grips:

Glad you guys made it out. The weather here has been perfect lately. If I wasnt recoverin from the flu, Id be out mashing pedals, and enjoyin it.

Cool pics. I like the folder, looks like something my grandpa would have liked. I always like gear that brings back memories, and that one isn't even mine! :thumbup:

Yep, when I was growing up in the south, all my friends fathers had one of these or a Sharpfinger.. Great memories.
