Dave, have three wonderful pieces, my favorite is Hibben. Thanks for your Sunday Showing. Ciao Tore

Dave, I was wondering where the Best went. Of the folders I've seen most recently, that one is one of my very favorites. Just awesome bali.

Bob

Thanks, I asked Ron Best to try some gold on this one, came out nicely I think.
The Hibben as some of us older folks remember, was on the cover of Knive's 84!

I love that balisong. Who's the maker on that? I know a fellow that would probably really like that one.

Talk about diversity! All are impressive in various ways, but that bali is the nicest of that pattern I can recall seeing.

Peter

That Bali is just fantastic!

And that Thorburn folder is a real beauty too!

Kind regards,

Jos

Thanks for sharing the nice pictures.

Would you mind posting any info about them . . . maker, materials, model name, etc.?

TIA!

what's with that gold bar on the Hibben? I don't understand why it's there.

Gil Hibben Fighter
Andre Thorburn Folder

not sure why Gil put the Gold ingots on, perhaps for a customer.
It is on the cover of Knive's 84

Thanks!

I kind of figured the first two makers, but wasn't sure.

I like that balisong - and in general I really don't like balisongs. But something about that one appeals to me. Of course I am partial to Ron Best's work - I own one of his carved "architectural" lockback folders with a stainless Damascus blade and black lip inserts. This one looks to me like tortoise shell inserts, but I can't tell who did the Damascus - maybe Mike Norris?
