Here's a little knife I just finished up. This blade was forged out of Bruno's 1" 1084. The blade is 4 1/2" with iron fittings and the handle is elk stag. Overall its just under 9".

Very nice. Clean. Slick. Well placed hamon. Like it very much.
I noticed that yours doesn't has maker's mark. Anyhow by looking at the knife I could guess that it is Ray's knife. Your knife always has a unique style that could be reconnected back to you. Thanks for showing

Ray, you're cranking out some beauties lately! Glad to see you blowing and going.

I really like the style/shape of this one...

But i think it's saturday --- does Sunday Special mean half off tomorrow?!?!?! :D

The fittings match the elk stag nicely.
Really like this one, Ray.

Doug :)

Mohd, Raymond usually puts his mark along the spine of the knife, so it wouldn't be visible in that image.

Nice piece Ray, did you hurt your forg'in arm. She's a bit short compared to what your usually making. ;)

Bill, Actually I'm having a flare up of arthritis in my right wrist. This was a blade that had been kicking around for a few months and I went ahead and turned it into a knife. I'm going to see if I can leave the hammers alone for a few days but I do have a stock pile of blades to work off of.

One of the most distinctive custom fixed blades out there. I'm always shocked to see such Fredrick Remington flavored, ultra-conservative knives emanating from the bowels of nihility liberalism--Portland, OR.

Your collaboration of wrought iron, stag, and classic design is more threatening to my assets than identity theft, which is why I'm quarantining you til your next thread.

my opinion, for what it's worth, is that the proportions are bang on. I think you could make this exact knife, using different materials, and it would still 'be all that, and a bag of chips'. Beauty design.

mohd, here's an example of my mark: http://bladegallery.com/shopexd.asp?id=85393&photo=4&size=b If you see a knife of mine with the mark on the side it was done before August 2005. I figure my style is pretty recognizable but the main reason for putting the mark on the spine is if I screw it up I only have to refinish the spine and not the whole side of the knife. :D

Ken, I'm east of Portland, almost 20 miles. I really enjoyed your comment!

I'll have to make a pattern of this blade. From the remarks about this knife it wouldn't hurt to do others. I really appreciate the replies! Now to bring it back to the top. :D
