Sunfish style folder

Anyone familiar with the Case and Bulldog (I think) Sunfish knives? They are kind of a cool design. I was thinking it would be fun to pick one up, but I'd like to get one that I could use hard. Anyone know if Queen makes them with D2 steel? The cool thing about them is they have a nice wide handle, so if you get a nice bone material there is a lot of it to show off.

Not exaclty a Sunfish, with the sleeveboard handle, but close.

I think Case used to call them Elephant Toes.

Also, you may want to ask at the Traditional forum, I´ve seen some nice threads and pictures of Sunfishes over there.

This is becoming one of my favorite patterns. I have two Case knives. I do not know if Queen is making them or not. The newer case I have is very thin compared to the older one.
If you do a search in the traditional forum you will find a knife of the week thread that has some great pictures and information.

The problem I see is most of these are sold as limited edition collectables and carry a high price tag. Not something you'd want to use an EDC and use. I'd like to see a company like Queen come out with a user version. No fancy etching crap on the blade.

I know what you mean. I just went ahead and threw mine in my pocket. I little remorse after the first few scratches, but what the hell. I wanted one to carry.
