whats your preference now that springtime is here?

I use these oakley halfwires and must say that they are super light and comfy. I sometimes forget I am wearing them.

i wear oakley "minutes," mainly because i got them for relatively cheap.

i agree on the comfort issue. oakleys are pretty great.

i did put a small scratch on one of the lenses with my keys. it made me want to cry.

I need perscription sunglasses, so for me I've got clip-ons.

Going to get a pair of Maui Jims soon though.

I love my Halfwire XL's.

Also own the Minutes.

I wore some Arnette Catfish and Swingers for awhile too.

I've always dreamed of running a Sunglass and Knife shop, but I doubt I'll ever do it ;p

IC Berlin, ito model. They are titanium, flexible+strong, crazy light, solderless, screw-free, and cool looking to boot. Check out the movie on http://www.ic-berlin.de/ . They are a little hard to find.

Revos are nice as I own these for just walking and driving but they are not as comfortable as the Oakleys

My vision is so bad, I can't get a nice pair of sunglasses with my prescription, so I use those crappy sunglasses that have tips that go over the outer rim of my regular glasses. Anybody know where I can get a nice pair? The Walmart cheapies are ruining my regular glasses.

I use the cheapo WalMart clipons also. I'm far too hard on prescription sunglasses to bother with another pair. I just buy another pair of clipons every couple months.

I love Costa Del Mar Glasses. I alos have an old pair of Ray Ban Aviators that I love for driving.

Sunglasses is a popular topic that pop up here pretty regularly.

Do a search on this forum to find them.

Here's a pretty good thread from almost 2 years ago -

Best sunglasses?

I like the Serengeti (gradient) Drivers - they seem to enhance definition and contrast - so things look sharper and clearer to me -
People who look through them sometimes ask if they are prescription since things do look clearer, but still natural (not too much color shift).

I've also shown people that they can see things in hazy/misty distance that they could not with the naked eye.

However I have also bought some copper-tinted sunglasses from the Dollar Tree store (for obviously $1 a pair) and the color seem almost as good .....
I place these at various places for back-up sunglasses -
eg: by the front door for when I have to step out to the mailbox.

I use Serengetis for driving and when I'm out
(but there is also a $1 pair as back-up in the car).

I just go to the hardware store and find a pair of ANSI rated (somewhat stylish) wrap around safety/sun glasses for about $10.00. You may have to try a few on to get one that's not too optically distorted but they work fine.

I forget what brand they were, but a salesman was peddling a very good brand around the commercial park where my father works. I'll look tonight for the brand, they were cheap and durable.

I'm also into sunglasses.
I have 2 pair of oakleys and 3 pair of Ray-Bans. I'd have to say that my Oakley XX (twenties) are my favorites. There lite, fit great amd don't slide down my nose.
