Woke yesterday to a beautiful sky.Decided to take the dog on a little stroll and maybe turn up some deer or elk sheds. This year we havent had much snow at all so to access this place at this time of year is unheard of.
After parking the truck and heading south around 2 miles I found a little sheltered spot out of the wind.Today I used a bushbuddy to boil water.
The river you see is the Columbia downstream some 135 miles is a dam.At this time the water has been drawn down a little revealing the old river bed
Looking east from the truck
looking west
looking south
Stove with kindling some birch bark.went up rught away with a spark or two
Stove on the go
water for the tea kettle
Deer trail never did find any antlers
And my tromping partner
Around a 4 mile hike in all had a very fine time
I know you guys like BC pictures
