Snapped a few shots of my marigold bone Colonial in this morning's sunshine. I keep returning to this one to remind myself I do not need one of those yellow rose GEC 56s (no matter how strong the attraction!).

Dagnabit Doug...now I can't get John Denver out of my head!!! lol

Always nice to see your sunshine!

As I almost said - she´s a real beauty. For being an old battlehorse, she got new dresses and now she looks just great. I like the angles you took the pics. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

What makes you think that you don't need one in addition to the Colonial? :D

Not helping!

Seriously, the one thing that does keep pulling me back to the 56 is the slight serpentine shape to the frame, which this converted barlow does not have.

Like the one on the left?

The very one. That sale re-ignited the desire. Fortunately, I am currently cash poor, or I likely would have succumbed to the temptation.

Hey Doug, don't ya think a warning should be posted in that shot? Put n sunglasses before viewing. That's a bright yella when the sun hits it.

Carl.

I understand. My last two knives were actually funded by selling off some stuff from another hobby that doesn't get the attention it used too. First thing is first when it comes to money. :o

Unfortunately, that never seems to stop me. I think I need help. :(

You are right Doug. You don't need a #56. That is a real beauty you have there! The scales are fantastic and I think the Wharncliff blade makes it very unique and useful! I can't imagine too many of those around. Thanks for the great photos!

That's a grand looking knife. The yellow is very becoming and a bit different than your run of the mill, pale, yellow, Delrin from Case. Not that I dislike it or anything. Reminds me of Queen's yellow (Think the Country Cousin) handles.

The contrast of the bright yellow with the patina of the blade makes for an attractive look. It's a sort of complimentary opposites effect.

That is some VIBRANT bone there, Doug. Very pleasing to my eye, that one will not get lost unless your in a field of yellow wildflowers :D

Thanks for further nice comments. You all are very kind.

Carl and Kevin, this one really does pop in direct sunlight. It is a bit more subtle, though, in softer light.

Next to the rotten banana bone 66, before the Northfield left for greener pastures
