This is mostly a suggestion to Joe Houser:cool:

Case XX has a nice FB page where they have giveaway contests:thumbup:
And a lot of old Case XX historical photos:thumbup:
I'm sure Buck Knives has their share of old photos to share with The Net too.........

A.G. Russell Knives has a nice FB page where A.G. updates everyone on new knives, knife law news, upcoming projects, etc
And he also asks for feedback from his "fans" (loyal customer base?)
What better way for customer feedback than a direct PM link to the OWNER (or Head Of Customer Relations)?

I know a lot of people are anti-FaceBook
But, it is a GREAT marketing/customer relations tool..IMHO

There is a Buck Knives FaceBook group
It's not The OFFICIAL Buck Knives Inc. group though
Big difference....................

Just think Joe===>
You could get PAID to respond to and make posts on FaceBook!!
My dream job!!!!!:D

Come to think of it
Buck Knives Inc. needs a YouTube page too
So you can post videos like this one from Case XX

Surley Buck knives can make a "video response" to the Case XX video someday??
That would be sweet!!
The YouTube video battle of the American cutlery company giants
Adam Smith would be proud................

Please do not tar and feather me for posting a Case XX video in this forum
I was just providing examples of what the competition is up too
Gotta keep the finger on pulse of the American knife consumer, I always say................
And I happen to like Buck Knives better than Case XX:)

Just my $.02...

But Buck hasn't even fixed the problems with their new site yet, much less have the time or employee skill to set up a Facebook or Youtube connection...

Whats Facebook??? :D

Why isn't there a Mfg. forum here for Case? Maybe they need "facebook/youtube"?

Never used either...

I like Buck right here on BF! ;)

I'm not a tech guy. However, it is a market lost if they are not there these days.

Good point given in my mind!

I would LOVE to see an Official BUCK presence on FaceBook !! I know that Joe is already on there. The drawback, I'm sure, is finding the TIME. The extra exposure though, may be worth the effort.....imho

Ditto what Steve said...Buck may be missing an opportunity to market to the young Tech savy crowd. And that is an opportunity lost. Anyway, internet retail and marketing is the future IMO.

""There is a Buck Knives FaceBook group..."""

UGH ... i can not find them?
could some one post a url or link to it?
jest not tech savy i guess..:0

found it ..THX!
seems mostly a fan base..
what do company like case FB look liiks
again a linky is great..

No doubt Buck should be there.

These Facebook pages are easy to set up and a great way of showing photos and disseminating information to the public.

I suspect Buck is already looking into it.
