Super 8 centering

Having no luck centering my super 8 with standoffs. Tried the method Obove and others. Only way is to tighten the pivot intil almost inoperable. Rubs when set to my liking(no blade play smooth action). Any advice would be appreciated. I want to press this into service.

Could easily be the photo distorting the appearance, but that looks as though it has bent liners. I'd disassemble it and lay the liners on a flat surface, such as a mirror - that should show if that's what is going on.

I centered my Emersons with the help of this guide:

Also I'll check the flatness of the liners - just put them on the mirror, as it's the flattest and easy to find surface - and I'll see if the detent ball presses too strong on the blade. In this case you'll have to push it away from the blade a little.

Well upon further examination the non lock side liner is mildly warped. Don't know if it's enough to have an affect though. I've received new and used Emersons that weren't centered but they all were remedied easily. After the long break in and fruitlessly attempting to center this one I think I'll send it to EKI and let them handle it. I've spent enough time on this one. With an a100 on the way I don't want to spoil it. I'll let you guys know how this pans out.

Got it back from EKI. Liner replaced and detent adjusted. Centered. Some of the best warranty service in the industry IMO.
