Little JKM is calling my name. I just scored a KK. Do I need a JKM? Help......

Question: I have seen several different types of Gopte knives. What does Gopte mean? Is Gopte a village or region?

Ems on the carved chainpura. Beautiful!

Just pointing out, in case it wasn't clear, that the chainpura is the one with the wooden scabbard, and the balance is the one with the carved Gurkha on the handle.
(The labelling seemed a little bit misplaced.)

Thanks. I can see the chainpura scabbard in the pic with all of them lined up. Looks like a steal.

Got the dd on the JKM so you are safe Bawana!
Waiting for confirmation for the Hasiya - finally decided to get me one of them

I am new, really new to these, so I could be wrong, but I believe Gopte mean "severly curved blade." I think it has to do with the curve being deeper than others.

Hope this helps

Got the DD on the Hasiya as well
The JKM will be my first Lachu and I love Yuvraj's work - this will be no 4 from him I think.

The manakamana from Lachu was really tempting - a rare model and with Lachu's touch and finish! Was very tempted to make it my first from Lachu but already had my Purna manakamana to keep me happy.

Yeah, rockape. It's called KLVUK............
