These sharpening threads have reminded me that Rockler has a 5-inch burnisher w/ hardwood handle for about $25 USD. It's original purpose is to put a burr on steel cabinet scrapers, but it would work admirably for burnishing a khukuri edge as well. A very poor picture of it can be seen at:

They also have waterstones, hones, chrome oxide compound, and lotsa other nifty stuff.

Good idea Bruce!!
It may be alright if it's hard enough.
The scrapers used for woodwork usually aren't real hard and can be readily filed.
The burnisher is used to roll a sharp burr along the scraper's edge
in order to put a very fine finish on wood.
I have found that the back edge of a good hard knife like my Marble's Woodcraft works very well for a super chakma.
Any fully hardened knife blade will work.

"VEGETARIAN".............
Indin word for lousy hunter.

I seem to recall reading in their (Rockler/Lee Valley) catalog a year or so ago that the burnishers were Rc 60-61. It'd be nice if their online catalog gave more info.
