super commander availability??

hi - am HOPING to get a 'super commander' for X-mas from wife, when are they gonna come out?? is it a for sure thing?? any/all info appreciated

i had all this stuff bookmarked and my PC crashed, so lost it all, cant find in search soooo - anyway thanks again.....

PS - also any suggestions on how to get a numbered one, or first production run, etc?????
 
From what I remember, the Super Commander is on indefinite HOLD, due to the need to get knives out to our armed forces in Afghanistan. That's all I know...

Ditto what rfrost said and it looks like you can forget about getting one this Christmas.

The first available will be the Pre-Productions through TAD, but no details on when or where the production version will be available as of yet.

I think at one time, all the Pre-Pros were all advance ordered already, but maybe someone has canceled. Go over to TAD and give it a try, you might get lucky.
 
There seems to be two threads going on about the Super Commander.

The Super Commander is going to be an ES1-M sized production Commander, meaning it'll have a full four inch blade.

Thanks John, that pretty much is what I was wondering. Are the liners or scales any thicker than the standard Commander?
