Hey guys and gals,

Just got back from Vegas. I must have slept all day yesterday. Today is the first day I got a chance to do anything. I got to see the SC from Emerson knives. The first 200 will be execulsive from TAD. So if you want one order if now. These babies are hot. The SC is also wider. Fills your hand a bit more. Here is a pic. Enjoy.

Liong, what makes the handle of the SC thicker? The Ti liners or the G10 scales? Also, do you remember if the spacer was plastic, G-10, or metal posts? Looks like an additional screw near the middle of the handle, too. The SC looks like a winner.
 
I can't recall what the spacer was made out of, but it was a lot longer on the proto SC than on a regular Commander. I assume that's why the extra screw was added.
 
The recent post, "oh no all new commander for 2002", has a detailed review which also answers the longer backspacer question. If I remember correctly, it's suppose to reduce the lateral forces on the knife since the liners are essentially the same thickness as the (.05)newer Commanders. Not sure what the spacer is made of though. Hope this helps.
