super commander worth the money????

Does anybody have an opinion on the super commander is it worth the money.Why is there such a price hike? It has a 4'' blade other models with the same blade size are $50 cheaper.
 
It is the price the market will buy at. Everything is worth what someone will pay for it. Emerson Kinves have a very loyal following and can sell at that point. If I were in the market, I would pay the price. I have a plain edge CQC11 and super 7, so I am well covered.

If you try it and do not like it, I am pretty sure you can recover in trade or sale.

I don't get it either. The Super Commander has a 4" blade length with an MSRP of $289. Regular Commander has 3.75" and MSRP of $219. So, basically, you're paying $70 extra for just a 1/4" more steel?
 
I have a Super CQC-7, which is $40 and 1/2" longer than a regular CQC-7. When my regular '7 arrived it felt like a toothpick in comparison. The Super has a longer blade, longer handle, and the blade is about twice as wide as the standard 7. The difference is amazing. I'm not sure if the Commander and the Super Commander have the same differences.

The regular '7 is way too small for me, the regular Commander is definately big enough. Ask yourself: Does the regular Commander need to be any bigger? Personally, my Commander feels like a medium sized fixed blade in my hand, any bigger would be too big.
