Look at the finish on this GS! A true magic stone mirror and I think this khukuri was almost certainly made by Sanu -- BUT he didn't mark it so that means BirGorkha is going to get busted $55 for this negligence. Sooner or later they are going to get the message. Carries the HI logo mark but no kami mark. Too bad.

I rate the knife a 10 out of 10 -- fit, finish, hardness, fullered karda, chakma, all excellent. Scabbard and frog are very well done.

Take the unmarked knife for $95 and we will pay shipping.

Call or email if interested.

Khukuri FAQ

Bill,

Just box that one up and send it on to NE Oklahoma! This is one we can use around the 90 acres.

I don't believe it! How did you beat me by one minute! I was talking to my wife on the phone and trying to get permission for funds! I'll arm wrestle you for it!

Gregg

Well, I just didn't stop to ask permission. (Of course now I'll have to hide it for a few months, cause she's going to kill me if she finds out

Snuffy,

What's your wife's e-mail address?

Congrats. I'll get you next time! Are these things even legal in MA? Maybe you'll need a trigger lock? I was looking at some black powder stuff last night and there were little tags all over them saying "not legal in MA." I guess there were crime waves breaking out there where people were using single shot black powder pistols!! Got to stomp that sort of thing out!

Uncle Bill,
I just sent you email.

Tulsamal,
Don't get me started - living here can be infuriating - seems like everything's legislated to death. Getting a permit to carry in the Boston area is almost impossible, and pretty soon we'll have to register our butter knives

The absolute truth.

That picture WOULD have showed a hand ( yes, mine ) grasping and pulling it off the table if I had not exhibited superhuman willpower. I was two blocks from Uncle Bill's at the time he posted that, but I was strong and turned onto the freeway instead of towards the Cantina.

Uhh, Snuffy, re your comments on Boston, you really, really don't want to know why I was at the indoor ra( cough ) that is I meant to say, why I was in town today.

I think maybe they're afraid a "gang" of re-enactors will start knocking off banks with their flintlock muskets - after all a musket is just another "assault rifle", right

?

For right now I'm resigned to earning a living here. Someday I'll live in a place where I have room to do the things I want, and neighbors who wont care because they'll be doing similar things. Archery, martial arts and blackpowder shooting frighten people who don't practice. (And the neighbors get cranky when they find arrows sticking in their garage!

Snuffy, I'm in rural Nevada, and Vegas is flushing the state down the tubes so fast...
and turning the most populus part of the state into eastern Californicatio-. The northern and eastern parts don't show the deterioration much, but now our laws are written by and for the Clarke County newbies who just moved here from LA and see no reason not to bring progressive laws to Nevada.

Twenty years ago the Oregonians didn't want foreigners from California moving in. Now it's Montanans who give you the cold shoulder ( and how ) unless you already have relatives up there.

Snuffy, a letter with polite apology tied to arrows will ease your neighbour's feelings...
They might get kinder enough to bring the arrow(s) back to you.

And, welcome to knever knever land.

Thanks for AM smile, oi-chan.

Rusty will not stay more than five minutes when he visits these days. He starts poking around the inventory, pulls out two or three khukuris, hands me some money and hits the road for Hawthorne. He thinks if he stayed for an hour he would buy more than his little truck can haul.

Rusty, if you are coming up for the convention I want to warn you that I'll be offering some great steals and deals to all who visit the Cantina.

Khukuri FAQ

I think I'm going to like it here - I just hope I can keep my purchasing in hand. I can't afford to get a new one each week, so maybe just one now and then on the sly. It's a great group here and I'm looking forward to learning.

Excellent, Jim and welcome Snuffy. We are a slightly eccentric mob in this forum, but welcome any viewpoints within reason( or should that be, on the edge of reason
