I was on Facebook today and I was scrolling though the news-feed and I saw Emerson posted that Super Desert Roadhouses were available by call in orders, did anyone already get one or are you guys going to wait like I am till dealers get some?

Are the blades finished in Black also? Normally the Super Roadhouse is unavailable that way..........SIGN ME UP if they are really available.
 
They are black coated and call Emerson for more info from what I know now they are 320 dollars and at the moment you can only get them through Emerson.

Wish I would have waited a few weeks..........I just bought a Super Roadhouse a few weeks ago and will like this knife much better due to the black finish.
 
When you get it upload some pictures if you can, and I am going to order mine after I get back from vacation.
 
Will do. They told me it will ship today. I requested USPS priority, hopefully being 107 miles away means it will be here tomorrow.

No guarantees with the USPS though.
 
Wow, I like it. All 3 of my other Emerson's are 2011 manufacture, yet this one is 2012 obviously and is the only one with the thicker liner lock and new pivot screw.

As with my others, fit/finish blade centering are flawless, don't get why Emersons get a bad rap there. The linerlock could use some wearing in though to get more engagement. Here are some pics with my regular Super ROadhouse and then one with the whole Emerson family. Hopefully the difference in liner thickness is visible. The desert tan scales have a different texture also, more aggressive IMO.

That thing looks great! I also just found some black on black super roadhouses. And what serial number did you get on it?
 
Black on black is out now too? Man i should have held off. Going to offer up my NIB satin Super Roadhouse for trade now that i have this.

SN is 117
 
I saw that is was out the other day, and I have been wanting the satin Super Roadhouse by now that the black one is out I am going the be having a hard time deciding on what one to get. And is the satin Roadhouse in the photos above a normal or super?
