Super frog

I've been plowing through the archives and saw a review from a few years ago on one of the HI knives. The reviewer said that the only change he planned on making to the rig he bought was to swap the standard frog for a super-frog.

Is this something that is still available? Does the leather guy who wrote in a couple of weeks ago (damn I am terrible with names; the fellow who's sewing machine is down) make these? I wouldn't mind a stronger frog for a couple of my sheaths, if it were available.

DOn't know answer to your questions, but the leather guy is Terry Sisco(though that last name may be spelled wrong)

It was my impression that the "super" frog is the current issue from HI, as compared to an older model frog used "back in the day." More experienced Cantina members can check me on that.

Thomas is quite right.

Many of the older frogs were very thin, although very tough, and just didn't work well. The new ones I've seen are great!!!!

The older frogs were smooth on the front amd riveted in back, and like Yvsa said, very thin.

And the rivets rusted and were of very poor quality. Stitching is the only way to go.
