This was an amazing find, and I was fair with the seller. We agreed on $80 for everything shown, a bargain for me, and not a rip off for a garage sale seller.

This included a Collins Legitimus, a NE Old Yank, a Plumb Wizard, 5 hatchets so good that none need new handles: A Stanley Handyman, Craftsman, Plumb Victory, and one to be determined as well as a nice standard Plumb camp hatchet.

Also included was a very functional old 4 inch vise with anvil, a coping saw with several extra blades, two awesome 8 inch draw knives, 7 brand new unused hammer and hatchet replacement handles, a whole handful of metal wedges and two amazing honing stones. One is a nice unused Norton stone, two sided in a wooden box, 8 inches. The other is gold. It is a perfectly flat, 8x2x1 inch two sided stone, with grits labeled 1000 and 6000, JAPAN.

I feel like I hit the lottery today.

Amazing Deal! You must have several hundred dollars worth of amazing stuff! Lucky you found it!

Awesome score!! I went to flea market this AM and found one axe...not one I wanted. Spent 1.00 on a shirt and came home :)

Maybe post a pic of yourself juggling three of those roofing hatchets? No- no- better not.... Congrats on the sweet score ;)

You did hit the lottery!

It's great when a stash like this falls into the right hands. That big Plumb and the Old Yank are both super fresh. Take care not to abuse those.

Very nice score! I'll take the Plumbs please. Thank you.

Seriously? I need to sell a bunch of this stuff. What is the policy on selling things here? I wasn't planning on advertising, just heading over to E-bay.

I'll post today's haul later, a 2.5lb True Temper Flint Edge Kellyworks, and an 8x5 inch 3.5lb Norlund. Total was $13.

I'm actually wondering if anyone can tell me what axe that Norlund came from or what it is, I've only ever seen small axes and hatches from them. This one is full sized.

jb,
If you want to sell here you need to be a Gold status member at minimum and post in the Exchange section. That full sized Norlund is a rarity and all Norlunds brings premiums on the Bay.

Clean that Flint Edge boys axe up and you have a lifetime axe.

I've seen Norlunds up to 5 pounds. I sold this 5 pound rafting axe last year.
