Hey guys, someone told me I could use super glue to finish wood t'other day and I was wondering how this was done. Anyone have step by step instructions?

Thanks.

Hi Stu, you in luck. I just happened to be reading this and it talks about the super glue finish you mentioned. The page has frames. You'll need to select "Part III" and "Finishing Wood Grips". I'm going to try it out myself some time soon. Just need to find a cheap source for superglue.

wrap your blade and start puting coats of glue on let them air dry the first 3or 4 dry fairly quickly after that it takes a while after 5 to 7 layers let it dry for 3 to five days to cure i put on 15 layers once you have the desired layers sand down smooth i use 220 400 800 and 1000 sand paper the buff with tripoli buffing compound the brown stuff wipe clean and viola your done

Where in the world do you find enough super glue for that Tom? That would take about 1,000 of those little tiny tubes you get at Wal-Mart! What's your secret?

Buy the LARGE bottle! Around here ( New York) the large bottle runs areound 15.00, more than enough for a couple of big handles ( or about 10 miniature handles)
