Super glue fix, now what?

I received my 12" Sirupati blem and did a super glue fix on it last night. Problem is that some of the super glue over the rest of the handle. How do I clean up/remove the excess glue? I know I could always sand it down, but I would prefer not to do that. This baby is a weapon and as such I would like to keep it looking new. Shiny knives have a psychological effect that dull looking knives lack.

Thanks for any and all help guys.

Nailpolish remover disolves most superglues. As horn it made of basically the same stuff as fingernails, I doubt it would harm the horn. Others may have better suggestions though. This is merely a hypothesis, I have never tried it.

Thanks Rkenny!!!!
I didn't know that fingernail polish emoved most super glue. That will help me a lot when I invariably get it somewhere on my fingers.

And it sounds like a good idea for the handle. I would sure give it a try.
And I usually fine sand and buff back to new as well, if the knife isn't a user.

Nail polish remover is basically acetone, available by the quart or gallon in any paint store. If you use cyanoacrylates (SuperGlues) at all, you should have some of this solvent on hand for the inevitable day that you glue your fingers together, or your hand to the workbench.
Some red rouge on a felt or linen buff wheel on your quarter-inch drill will bring back the luster of the horn after you've dressed down your glue line with fine sandpaper (I use automotive paper, from the motor supply store.)
A khuk kept as a weapon benefits from a reduction in the new gloss/slickness of a horn handle. To really improve grip, try taping with cloth tape...camo tape looks cool, tennis raquet or golf club wrap is more conservative...or try wrapping with fine nylon cord. If you have to use the khuk as a weapon, how much it shines won't really be a deciding factor in the outcome, trust me.
