Ok, I just got the beast in and measured it and it was 0.345 inches thick.

3/8 is 0.375 and 5/16 is 0.3125, which makes it slightly over 11/32. How cool is that. Double Cut finish.

Cobalt what are you gonna use this one on........I am thinking you should throw it at some logs ....drink alot of Long Island teas and when you pass out I will send my family over (They are in your neck of the woods this weekend) and than.....I will post a picture of me holding it !!!!!!!!!!! Here ya go. A recent addition to the INFI family, hot from the USPS delivery today. Just mic'd it at 0.343 thick.

yep, that's exactly like mine except mine mics out to 0.345 so slightly thicker:D

I got mine today as well. What luck isn't it. I'll post a pic of the spines tomorrow ok.

Amy, I am drinking Ice-tee's right now, but don't plan on throwing this one. I think I will throw some Dark Ops knives tonight so if you want to send the family over you can. I will be covertly delaminating the wood.

You all got it! They measure out as the fattest of them all, unless there's a 3/8th model out there.

This is the best FSH I've seen. Would like to have mag handles but it's really not neccessary as the blade width adds a little extra girth.

So is this going to be the standard width of the new FBM???

Well, I will be comparing it with my other Satin/DC finished HOFSH's today, but I do remember that I had several in the 0.315 to 0.32 range. This one feels massive though, no doubt about it.


If the HOFBMLE comes out like this it will dwarf every other BM ever made. Definitely not a brush blade though. It would be a definite chopper. The std FBM would do it all well including brush work kinda like the SHBM.

ooops, I read the calipers wrong it is actually 0.347-0.348 inch thick

so rounding off to 0.35 is fair. :thumbup:
 
So then are these 3/8th stock finished down to approx 11/32nd ??? Are all new HOFSHs' recently made the same dimensions as these?
