Hey guys, i need help with my Emerson i got as a gift from a friend. It has a patent number but it has no year under the trademark like all emersons do. This Super Karambit is my first Emerson so i'd really appreciate to be educated by the more experienced owners.

Not all Emerson's are date stamped. I believe they stopped after a certain point and certain models didn't get date stamped at all certain years. There are probably a lot better signs on whether or not it is a fake than the date. Does it use Phillips head screw? If it has a backspacer do the screws go in on the same spot on both sides or are they staggered? What kind of washers does it have nylon or phosphor bronze?
Are you able to post a picture of it nice and close up? I'm no expert but I know the guys that read this in the morning will ask for the same thing and someone will be able to help you.Everything you said is checked and good but it doesn't have the writings below the emerson logo that says "Super Karambit Made in USA" and the "Wave Feature" then patent. Its just the emerson logo.

No they typically screw right into the G-10.I learned something new today: the screws in the backspacer on my Persian are indeed staggered when you compare one side to the other. So that would mean there's some kind of threaded sleeve inside the backspacer for the screw to grab onto?
