I got mine yesterday... Great knife in all ways except this...

It locked in this position right out of the box. I would send it in, but I'm having it modified by Reese Weiland. I'm having a damascus blade made for the stock handle and liners. He'll know how to handle this little problem. The blade will get a CF scale with integral spacer and a .160" Ti locking slab.

Thats a lot of lock travel for just out the box. It looks like you have a more than satisfactory soultion though :):thumbup:
 
mine was far as well. how do u like the filework on the lock disengagement? it takes a while to get used to not as many ridges
