I usually don't get into those threads where someone points out similarities between one company's knife and another company's knife but...this is too spot on for me not to bring up. Clip point, spydie hole, thumb cutout for lock bar access and jimped backspacer?

I dunno what I'm looking for in terms of responses. I just saw this today and don't have any in-person knife people to show it to!

I have both and they really are nothing alike besides both being framelocks. The F3 is a lot thicker than the Slysz Bowie for one. The blade shapes and handle profiles are different as well. Also, the opening on the F3 is not a circle like the Spydie hole, but oval. With that being said, I like both knives but I definitely prefer the Slysz Bowie.

Knife Center might want to do a little better QC in the marketing dept. Looks like someone dropped it beforehand, see the dent/scratch in the bottom left picture. lol

Would the picture on a website stop you from buying one if you really wanted one?

Once you hold them in your hands you'll know immediately that they are nothing alike. Other than on paper.

The machining on the handle of the Bowie is expensive to do and more ergonomic than many might think.

And I gotta say, as the proud owner of one, you can immediately feel the extra time and effort put forth for this detail when you hold one [emoji106]🏽

The titanium on the slysz is machined so that it's very pleasant to the touch.

Feels like a high-tech, functional worry stone.

That's exactly what I mean! I was like "oh sweet, another Slysz design..."

Just to make things clear - both guys (Vox & MarcinS) are great guys and my friends. So I assume that any similarity (and I can't really see any except similar size and framelock design) is just a pure coincidence.

Also keep in mind that the Spyderco Techno design origins from MarcinS 'Mouse' folder, which was introduced in 2009. And the Slysz Bowie is Spyderco variant of MarcinS Fat Bowie introduced in January 2010. Vox F3 was presented in... 2013. Well, I hope this clears the issue :)

Totally! Again, I'm not totally sure why I posted this. I just saw the F3, made the connection and started the thread.

I definitely didn't mean to suggest that anyone was stealing anyone's design and I wasn't trying to make the claim that they're similar besides just on paper. I just love my Bowie and was intrigued by this design.

Thanks for the info! [emoji106]🏽
