Hey guys,
I started my new job today in the elastomer sealing systems sector.
I worked about 8 hours, and you know what, i used a cutter during 5 or 6 hours. Essentialy because most of the pieces we make must be cleaned and some plastic has to be removed.
The cutters. I hate them.
Well it's a great invention but don't ask me why, most were quickly abraded and it has a shitty handle.
So there comes the question, do you think i could find some maker that would be Ok heat treating me a simple 3 inches piece of steel ?
I mean i want to find a cheap blade, with a cutter geometry (full blat, maybe 0,6 inches thick, pretty much only micro convexed 0,4 inches wide or something like this).
Do you know someone that could throw a small piece of steel in it's furnace, that could grind it and sell it to me for some bucks ?
I ordered my first custom knife a week ago and i don't want to spend too much money into it so...
