I was impressed with the string of Super Stallions landing & taking off behind Geraldo at the convention center in N.O.
It occurred to me to look around on the web to get a picture of that view so I could print it out & hang it up.
I tried searching but came up with almost nothing; all I can find are older, "stock photos," or portions of a helicopter winching people up.
Anybody know where I might find a picture on the web of the strings of Super Stallions coming & going in N.O. ??
F.W.I.W. in my searching, I discovered a website which documented articles in the NY Times from July 14th,1993, May 9th,1997, and April 13th,2005 in which the NY Times opposed building levees, lauded congressmen who "beat back a bill that would have permanently exempted any flood control project from the requirements of the Endangered Species Act," and opposed flood control projects in general, on the grounds of "Budget constraints and environmental concerns." Predictably, on September 1st, 2005, the NY Times opined "Why was Congress, before it wandered off to vacation, engaged in slashing the budget for correcting some of the gaping holes in the area's flood protection?"
(In the NY Times website, altho' they did not have any pics of the strings of Super Stallions showing up <reminiscent of the "Geek Squad" commercials on TV>, the NY Times did have a pic of a door where someone painted "About time Bush").
