Super Steel

Hello to all,
this knife I called "super steel" to emphasize the fact that it was made from a billet of steel really special. It is a sanmae steel forged by Alessandro Fabrizi. The coasts are a stainless steel for which I promised not to divulge information (it took months of experimentation and so many resources) while the central consists S90v. To my knowledge this is the first time ever that we present a kind of steel (a stainless Samae completely in Italian) I have not seen elsewhere. For me it was an honor to work on a steel like that, but so hard to explain. It was not a walk (as you can imagine) but I am happy though as I always say everything is perfectible. I have several similar but with other steel billets as central and I hope to show you the results as soon as possible. Unfortunately my camera equipment consists of a micro machine that does what it can, I have tried to highlight the difference between the steels but rarely seen in the picture (live is obvious.....I do not like to use acid on the blades that do) ...

Sorry for my English :)

blade : 6x40x170 mm
handle : 130 mm in frassino colorato e stabilizzato e con tubicino inox

Great looking knife!!! That knife may never need sharpening. S90v is some amazingly wear resistant stuff!

Beautiful knife, great San-Mae!

I'd like to see this knife in Roccagiovine (Rome) show.
