Superb Service from SOG Warranty Dept.

On Wednesday, the file on my black SOG Powerlock snapped off while I was using it. I sent an e-mail asking if I needed to send the tool in for repair, or if I could order a new part. I heard back the same day letting me know that they'd be sending a new file blade out and that I'd see it in 10-15 business days.

Today I got a little padded envelope from SOG with a new file blade, new knife blade, and two little flat wrenches to take the tool apart. I was extremely impressed with the expediency of the whole process. I never thought I'd be able to break that tool, and certainly never thought it'd be back together three days later if I did. Kudos to SOG for their excellent service.

A bit off topic, I noticed that my new file has a screwdriver tip, whereas the one I broke had a rounded tip. It's always handy to have an extra screwdriver about, when was that changed?
 
I love it when a company stands behind it's product(s).
It seems to me that knife manufacturers are at the top of the list for that. Perhaps it's because no matter how technologically advanced we get, a knife is still, and will always be, a critical life saving tool.
Kudos to SOG.
