We have two beauties to raise funds for Ben today! We’ll post updates whenever we get them from the family. Both knives are tapered tang, 1/8" 01. The Bushboot was kindly donated by one of our awesome forumites who asked to remain anonymous. Thank you!!

Awesome. After missing the Patch on Friday I was determined to get the one today. And I love helping the little guy out....
 
We just got an update from Rebecca, Ben's mom - Sounds like the little guy is having a rough go of things as of late.

"Just wanted to send a quick update on Our little Ben. A lot has happened in the last two weeks, we have now put him on an adult dose of steroids in hopes to stop his seizures. The most dangerous ones he is having is infantile spasms. We believe those have stopped but damage has been done. He no longer smiles and has regressed significantly in his vocal and also in his arms/legs. He is still having seizures but no drop seizures, thank god. We think the medicine is working, but we are waiting for an EEG follow up to confirm.

Unfortunately with the meds he is on, he has to have blood drawn, urine test twice a week and his bp twice a week and we are working with his therapists to increase visits, which has been difficult to do. We have a trip to Boston at the end of August to go to Children's for a second opinion. He has a kidney ultrasound this Thursday. The results from his MRI revealed multiple tumors through out all his brain hemispheres , 3 specific nodules in problem areas, for now those three are stable but we are praying they don't grow.

His neurologist have recommended I get some in home nurse care to help eliminate some of our trips out and to allow this Mom to get caught up on cleaning and all the normal day to day stuff, unfortunately we have not been able to get ins to cover that, so this is something we are seriously considering.

We can't thank you all enough for what you have done and continue to do for Ben and our family. It is a blessing and I thank god every night for all the blessings we have received.

I was up at 2am praying to God last night. I couldn't sleep, I was so worried about getting Ben his PT therapy, as we found out yesterday he was only approved for one session a month.

I wish things were easier, I wish a lot of things, but I can say this, the help we have received is just another reminder that God is taking care of us and we are so thankful for the good family and friends you guys are."
 
I can't believe this one is still here, are all the sharks out on holidays? :rolleyes:

I'd love to pick it up myself, but I'm afraid the price plus international shipping & taxes makes this one out of my reach.

Someone else take this Bushboot & sheath soon before I bankrupt myself pls.

I also can't believe that no one has grabbed the Bushboot yet. I can't resist it any longer... I'll take it :)
