Can small cracks in turtle shell be repaired in the same way as ivory by using crazyglue, or should something else be used ?

Sure, you can use it to fill cracks in any material. I ususally coat the whold piece of ivory or shell in a thin coat of superglue to act as a stabilizer. Are you using turtle or tortoise shell? Just so you know unless it is old it is also illegal.

It's most likely illegal here too, but it's not mine and it's not in denmark. Somebody in a swordforum has an old chineese jian with the handle covered with turtle shell, and he asked for a way to treat those cracks.
