i just got my superleaf today. at first i really liked it, the knife fits my hand great and i love compression locks. after messing with it for awhile i have to say that i dont think i like the compression lock on this knife as much as my para and para 2. the cut out for the lock release is significantly smaller than on the paras. anyone else find this to be the case as well?

So the compression lock is essentially a liner lock accessed through the back?

sorta, i like it a lot better though. its so easy to open and close the knife with it. well it is with the paras, not as much with the superleaf due to the reason i stated above

The tab is the same size but the cut out is smaller.
It hasn't bothered me at all..

maybe i have larger fingers. it stands out like a sore thumb

I see what you're saying now, it's the cutout on the opposite scale that is shallow in comparison to the para. I didn't notice it but you are correct. You can't get as much of your finger on it.

This is true...but I find both the SuperHawk and SuperLeaf actually easier to unlock than either the Para 1 or Para 2. YMMV...

they both feel similar to me except the amount of finger i can get on the release

I like disengaging my SuperLeaf much more than my CF Para2. It feel's roomier and easier to disengage without losing any safety. And there is no hint of finger pad pinch from the SuperLeaf when I get caught on occasions with the Para2.

I do, too, and I've been trying to figure out why. I think it's because the tab, although relatively shallow, is such a big (because of its length) target for my fingertip. Whatever the reason, it definitely works better for me, too.

Maybe because of the Superleafs wider blade...therefore more space between liners...
