Just got my first. I haven't held one of these in about 15 years. So I apologize in advance for my most basic questions...

What's the best way to defang this thing until I get the hang of it? Tape on the edge? Unsharpening the edge?

Where's a decent online page about the basics of manipulating this little bugger? Where to hold it, how to use it, etc.?

Tape is the most temporary solution. You can take it off whenever you want.

Clay's site has broken in countless newbies.

Wow. Clay's site rules. I got through the first set of beginner stuff no problem, but finally got my first bite on the windmills. I knew I'd be fine until I stopped holding the safe handle...

For the record, it's one thing to learn that taping the blade is good, and another to bother doing it.
