i have thought about getting one of these systems. anyone have a website to browse for this kind of equitment? thans inadvance

Try this site www.airwareamerica.com I purchased a 3M airhelmet (hepa filter) from them and have been very pleased with it. I am just getting started making knives so I haven't used it for this yet but I have used it extensively turning exotic (toxic) woods on my lathe. The salesman said alot of people use it in the industry for sharpening saw blades. In my opinion it's the only way to fly. Their service was super and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

I've used a Kasco K80S pretty much since starting. My father gave it to me when he retired from farming. I think it's probably close to 20 years old. I buy supplies from these guys. Pricey, but it works like a charm.

I use a Hepa filter cartridge for general use, hepa + activated charcoal for horn, ivory, micarta. It's so cool to grind fossil ivory and not smell it!

Using a regular cartridge respirator did not work for me. They did not fit my proud nose properly and my glasses kept getting fogged up, or pushed off axis.
