Though I have made only a few Hawks so far.And I make the handle for each one myself.I have been wondering if there is someone out there that sells handles so that i can give a customer that needs a new handle somewhere to go to purchase a new handle if needed...Or does someone know of a place I can find a set pattern for one so that I don't have to grind and shape by eye to custom fit each handle as I make the hawks. On all my Hawks now I use the drift from Centar Forge to keep the eye's the same.
Sorry if this has been asked before,I have really just started looking at this part of the forums.
Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce, here is a thread that lists a couple of sources. Below is a pic I borrowed from eBay (item #1731137308) that shows the dimensions of the MapleLeaf Hardwoods hafts so you should be able to tell if they would be suitable. I seem to recall that RMJ Forge buys from MapleLeaf so I imagine they can also provide fancy woods if hickory is not what you have in mind.

Thanks Brian C....
I can make the curly maple ones and if someone breaks a handle then they could order one of these...
This is the size needed for the drift I use..
Again Thanks..
