I don't know if this us appropriate to post here, so apologies if it isn't. A few people were excited about the knife series I was going to start, and I finally got my supplies and have completed the first knife. These will be 1/8" 1084 with a triple temper differential heat treat and etched blade to reveal the temper line (although you can see it pretty well on this first one without the etch). They are about 5.5"-6" OAl with around 2.5-2.75" blades. Nice and light because I am grinding them out of 1" wide stock. These will be integrals (no scales) with most of the blade finished to 400 grit and the rest left with the original gray mill finish. Light random, tribal-looking filework on the handles. Packaged complete with multicarry (neck, vertical, horizontal and IWB belt/waistband carry) Concealex sheath. I was thinking $50 range when I first brought up the idea, but they will take more finish than I thought to be worth looking at without turning to stone or puking, so I'm thinking the $70 range will be more appropriate. The first 6 will be drop points since those sounded the most popular. Edges are slightly convex, thin, and super sharp. I can also do Persian's, tantos and that sort of thing if you want, and do chisel grinds with convex face, if that's your thing (not as sharp, in my opinion). A good chance to get a special knife with a bit of a lower grade finish that you won;t mind kicking around a bit. Email if interested. Probably won't have the first six done until a week or so from now, and they will all be drop points unless someone emails me for a special blade shape. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I thought it may be more appropriate in the custom forum than the For Sale area. if I'm wrong, then flame on and move my post!
