supplies for first sheath

i'm just finishing up my first knife...or knife handle. the blade is helle and the handle is basically a combination of various elements from a number of Helle designs.
i need to make a sheath next. from the limited research i was able to do today it sounds like i need veg tanned double shoulder around 8-9oz, contact cement, artificial sinew, pack of needles, awl, overstitch wheel, groover, edge beveler and edge dressing.

few questions...
where do i shop for the tools? i'm a woodworker and with the exception of a few planes, all of my tools are antique and restored. i like the old stuff. are there some good quality old brands i should look for at online auction? or are most leatherworking tools so basic that none really stand apart. if i opt for new stuff, anywhere you recommend looking...maybe a particular auction seller? i think i would rather shop around for lightly used before buying at Tandy's prices.

also, where to buy the leather? any issues with the ebay stores? don't have enough cash at the moment to meet the minimum i've seen at a couple online stores i saw recommended. i've got 5 blanks so i figure i'll make around 6 sheaths to start out. i deal with a couple cow and bison ranchers here in georgia and they told me they were selling tanned hides, but i think they might be selling in bulk which might be too much for getting started at the moment. is bison good for sheaths? any other advise on shopping for leather? anyone on here sell it?
thanks for the help, if it's been covered please point me to the links. i have eye problems and can't be on the computer much more than a half hour or so a day.

Are you looking to get into leatherwork or just want to make sheaths for this knife and the 5 other blanks that you have?
