:thumbup:lets give micheal (codger)a big hand!!!

dont know a thing-------but sense its time to give a valuable member a big thank you for what, and all he does; gathers and shares his collected information with all us schradaholics. there would be a dark void here without his presence and eager willingness to share. we appreciate you very much, thank you codger:thumbup:

merry xmas and happy schrade collecting new year!

Thank you Michael you have been very helpful to me. Merry Christmas

Between Codger and Irv's web pages
The BEST resource on the net
Better than any books I have read too......

Thanks guys!!!

It almost seems like we should form some Schrade Collectors Club with a newsletter and all...

i heartily agree ! a BIG Thank You and Merry Christmas to Michael, Irv, Hal, and all Schrade forum regulars. your kind and generous contributions here have helped transform me into a serious knife collector and a commited "Schrade-o-phile" and have warmed my heart with your friendship.

Good post Brady,
Michael, thank you for your time and dedication to the histories of the Knife makers we are so found of. Your detail of time lines, ownerships and knife politics has broadened our understanding immensely. It's a quirky little hobby, this knife collecting, and it's people like yourself that have helped us through all those mind boggling questions of what, when and where.

:thumbup:Well said all, Michael we are all pullin for ya bud! take care, and as already been said, if there is somthing I can do feel free to drop a line anytime;). Hate to hear anyone going thru a tough spell:grumpy: let alone a GOOD guy:)!!!

I'll say a little prayer for ya!

What they all said! We all appreciate Michael and a handful of folks who are really the core of this forum. I have personally been grateful for some of Michael's information, and will be again. And I will be standing in line for his book, if I live long enough! I am wishing the best for you in this tough time. Been there; done that; someday it will just be a memory :).

I've been there myself!, you'll pull through, It's tough although there is light at the end of the tunnel. We all can't wait to get you back up and running.

All the best

I would be lost in the wilderness without Michael and Larry along with the Aussie Larry.

Many thanks to a trio of super people.

Thank you,

Jackie

Thank you guys. I am glad you all seem to be appreciating the work I and others have put into presenting Schrade information here and on the COSRUS site that Larry built. Getting information out there into the hands of collectors is the prime reason I was given the task of using the archives. I am still working on the book(s), and hope to have something either in print, on CD or internet subscriber download before too long.

I also appreciate the moral support. I can't think of anything anyone can do to help me personally at this juncture. Except to help mind the store here, welcome newcomers and answer their questions. As you Old Timers know, there is a wealth of information stored here and on the COSRUS site. Help each other navigate it to find the answers sought. That, for me, is thanks enough.

Today is the Old Codger's birthday. For breakfast I treated myself to bottled water, then went out to see a pretty lady. The nurse who took my samples for the latest round of lab work. Then here to the library to see if everyone is behaving themselves. Now I get to go back home and eat a bite and drink that magic elixer that makes it possible to face the day, Columbian dark coffee.

This library will be closed over the holidays, but I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your friendship, and to wish you and your families the best during this holiday season. Keep up the good work, be good to each other and as mentioned earlier, raise a glass to Henry Baer tomorrow night on his birthday. Somewhere a thread I posted last year for his birthday is archived. Perhaps one of you will fetch it forward.

Michael
