Hi folks, one thing that Bladeforums is doing right now is a Year of Giveaways as you can see in the large banner at the top. Also right now there will be a live drawing tomorrow so today is the time to get into that thread and post an 'I'm In' so you can have the opportunity to win a knife or various other gifts.

Speaking of which, a couple of weekends ago I won the live stream prize which is only open to those that are watching the youtube feed that Spark hosts every Sunday since starting this great series of giveaways, tune in to support Bladeforums and you may just win the live stream prize pack consisting of a whole slew of things that Spark can throw into the box. I just received my package today and below are the items that were sent.

Just opened and view of the inside;

a very well made and somber patch to remind us of our veterans and the struggle they have, fortunate for me my time in the Navy was not in a war zone...

Luckily this gas station beauty was lacking the traditional hobo juice...thank goodness...and actually arrived with an edge and isn't shabby at all

I'm in the planning stages of finding a use for these two;

So, my thanks to Spark Spark and Bladeforums and I encourage you folks to join in on tomorrow's broadcast.

See the current open thread now and join in if you have not done so already

I do support Blade Forums. I entered every drawing at first. Got bored with the whole thing as I never won anything and I already own more than enough knives for two lifetimes.

Great! Always good to have enough knives for sure.

So in order to have a chance to win something, you will have to not only say "I'm in" in the thread but also watch the stream live, correct? No wonder I never won anything.;)

Nah
Obviously many people have won that never joined in on the broadcast
Just the chance to win the Live Stream package is necessary to be there.

Plus you get to see right away if your post number was picked for any of the other prizes given out

Different time zone and shift work can get in the way of syncing with broadcast times :(

G2, I hope you don't mind if I use your thread to also thank Spark/BF for the GAWs going on through this year, I was fortunate to get this sweet folder in a draw a few months back.

Thanks to Spark for allowing the goodness to spread as far as New Zealand :)

Now, about the broadcast done on Sunday, Spark does get excited at times and his language might cause you to turn down the volumne as it isn't always family friendly, so keep that in mind if you decide to tune in on Sunday at 5pm EST

I tuned in once, but 5pm is a busy time for me. Congrats on the cool prize package! What steel is used for the Kershaw?

Yep, it's at the top of the day for sure.

As to steel, my friend Google says it should be Sandvik 13C26 Stainless Steel

I don't know that I'll keep her as it is tip up carry only and a tad of a recurve in there ;) two things I'm not overly fond of, but plenty sharp right now!

Thanks for the kind words Gary! The Tactical Plexiglass has an endless array of possible uses, from spacers, to door lock jammers, to cat entertaining devices. Or so I've heard.

You can even put them in unsuspecting people's houses and make them paranoid as to their origin.

Like Gary said, I do a live stream broadcast every weekend where I draw the prizes for the 20th Anniversary Year of Giveaways & do commentary on various knife & industry related issues. Unfortunately @Ironkid883 has a tendency to be one of the viewers, so I apologize in advance for anyone who has to be subjected to his debauchery, but overall it's a pretty decent time for most everyone else.

Also, I may have to postpone tomorrow's broadcast until next week as I'm travelling and may not make it back in time, but that just means 2 giveaways next week!

Good stuff!

I like Ken Onion but some of his old school Kershaw pocket clip designs are hideous....:p

The clip on this one is quite comfortable actually, it clings close to the handle so that while gripped you hardly know that it is on there.

Gary, I too was a winner of a live steam prize giveaway package in week 20. It was a nice little bonus for watching the one of the informative rants by Spark Spark . I was lucky enough to be a recipient of some of the sacred Hobo Juice if you would like I would send you the precious paper wrapper the my chinesium was wrapped in to share my wealth. I too would encourage that more people watch for the entertainment.

I'm not going to enter because I already have more than I need and hope someone else wins...HOWEVER I wanted to post her to say thank you for the Mission 22 acknowledgment. I am service member (19k), currently deployed, and have seen this pain first hand. In my civilian job, I work in behavioral health and have dedicated countless hours to crisis intervention. I would always prefer to hear you pain and struggles, than read your obituary. If anyone reading this is struggling, please contact 1-800-273-8255 (National Suicide Awareness Hotline). You're not alone. Just had a vigil for another nation's soldier a day ago. Truly sad.
